 This former Austinite and DJ got his moniker from the very city that inspires his playlists. As a nod to the current wave of ex-patriot artists and dj's who have arrived in recent years, New Berlin (Anthony Mauzy) spins his own blend 80's new wave, indie rock, and electro-house -- strictly using a laptop and an audio interface.
While working on his graduate degree in new media, he soon began promoting his own local experimental electronic shows under the guise Teleportdoor. These shows quickly evolved into a conceptual events and promotions team. Today New Berlin is a web designer and media coordinator specializing in youth culture, fashion, and new technology.
