Ashes57
New York, NY
Delphine Ettinger left her job at a London design firm in June 2004 and boarded a plane for the United States. She worked on snowboard films in Mount Hood, Oregon over the summer. When the snow melted, she decided to move to the city and started freelancing as a graphic designer.
She draws her inspiration from many different sources. Amongst the most important are the urban landscape as well as the natural beauty of Canada. She spent the long winter nights doing line drawings and vector graphics for her own art projects until she interned for a few month for the artist Shepard Fairey (Obey) in Los Angeles. She is now living New York City, making artwork under the name ashes57, planning her next exhibition, and looking for new openings.
