About Special Events
Occasionally, AMODA holds an event that doesn’t fit neatly into one of our existing program categories. Often, these events involve collaboration with another nonprofit arts organization. Special events also provide an opportunity for AMODA to experiment with new ideas and approaches, many of which are eventually incorporated into our ongoing programs. Of course, these special events still feature the elements that AMODA is known for, including digital art, live electronic music, installation pieces, video screenings, or some combination of the above.
Past Special Events
Our past special events have included an opening party at Austin Museum of Art, lectures by local and visiting artists, a large-scale video installation at UT’s Creative Research Lab, a Minecraft-themed event at the Thinkery, casual gatherings for digital art fans, a DJ-oriented dance party, and much more.
